Our marriage preparation process runs through the Fall Semester (from September to early December) and repeats again in the Spring Semester ( From January through Late April).

Preparation activities begin with a meeting between the couple and the priest at the Newman Center, which is followed by (a) general sessions of all couples participating in the process (Fall: September 25th, October 23rd, and November 27th OR Spring:  January 29th, March 2nd, and April 22nd) and two blessings (Fall: October 2nd at 5pm and November 20th at 5pm OR Spring: February 12th at 5pm and April 15th at 5pm)(b) a series of meetings of each couple with an individual or married couple from the parish to review the couple's FOCCUS results, an instrument designed to promote communication in issues of married life, and (c) a day long retreat entitled “God’s Plan for a Joy-filled Marriage,” (Fall: October 29th OR Spring: February 4th) email Renee to register and (d) a course on Natural Family Planning.  There are three options for Natural Family Planning courses:

 The preparation process is open to all couples: couples in a serious relationship but not yet officially engaged, couples preparing for a wedding this year, couples of a different faith tradition, couples preparing to enter a second marriage. Interested couples need to contact Fr. Carl at 307-745-5461 for further information or to make an appointment for the initial interview. The requested donation to help cover the cost of the process and materials is $63.00 per couple.

Couples planning to be married in the Diocese of Cheyenne should note that any baptized Catholic is expected to have celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation before their marriage is celebrated.
